Experience a very exciting mountain tour and one of the greatest natural wonders on earth when climbing Mt. Meru & Kilimanjaro. Climbing Mt. Meru before Kilimanjaro is the perfect way to acclimatize. This lonely rocky peak in Arusha National Park stands in the shadow of Kilimanjaro and is an impressive 4000-meter peak with beautifully shaped, distinctive craters. The path leads on foot through the park's diverse wildlife and the fascinating mountain rainforest. After climbing Mt. Meru, the ascent to Kilimanjaro takes place via the varied Machame route. This tour takes you along the southern route, which is also called the Whiskey Route, and is the most varied and beautiful route on Kilimanjaro. On this route you will spend the night in tents at designated campsites. The descent takes place via the Mweka route. The nature and culture will inspire you, as will the hospitality of the Chaggas who live at the foot of Kilimanjaro. Safari Noma!

Mount Meru is the second highest mountain in Tanzania with a height of 4566 meters. It is located in the Arusha National Park and is about 20 km from Arusha. Mt. Meru can also be climbed in 3 days, but we recommend the 4-day tour. More time for acclimatization means being in top shape on the way to Kilimanjaro.

In contrast to Kilimanjaro, at Mt. Meru you will be accompanied by an "armed" ranger. This is assigned to protect you because there are still many wild animals in the national park. You can usually see African buffalo, zebras, warthogs, many species of birds, colobus monkeys and the rare forest elephants.
