Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport – MoshiIndividual arrival. Transfer from the airport to Moshi. Preparatory meeting for the trekking tour. Overnight: Hotel.

Day 2: Moshi - Nalemore Gate (2020 m) - Sekimba Camp (2700 m)In the morning, the long journey to the starting point of the mountain tour takes place. We drive to the small town of Nalemoru, which is located on the Kenyan/Tanzanian border and on the northern flank of Kilimanjaro. At the national park gate, you will be registered and your luggage will be distributed among the porters. Your hike begins on a well-developed forest road. You will hike through cultivated land before you reach the pine forests. Look out for colobus monkeys in the treetops. You will spend your first night on the mountain in Sekimba Camp. Walking time: 3-4 hours

Day 3: Sekimba Camp – Kikelewa Camp (3650 m)You continue to climb steadily in the morning to the second cave (3450 m). Early in the morning it is usually clear and as you climb over the moorland and heathland you should have good views of Kibo, the eastern ice fields and to the left the jagged peak of Mawenzi. We leave the main route and turn onto a smaller path over the moorland towards Mawenzi. The path winds steadily uphill over several ridges and small valleys. The campsite is in an unprotected depression near the Kikelewa caves. Walking time: 6-7h4th day: Kikelewa Camp – Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4330 m)A short but steep climb up a grassy slope is rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view and the feeling of total isolation. Mawenzi Tarn Camp is beautifully situated in a cirque directly below the very high peaks of Mawenzi and next to a small mountain lake. For many, it is the most beautiful camp on Kilimanjaro. The soil here is ideal for the growth of the famous giant senecios and you can admire some impressive specimens here. In the afternoon, you can rest in the camp or go for a hike in the area to achieve better acclimatization. Walking time: 3-4 hours

Day 5: Mawenzi Tarn Camp - School Hut (4750 m) Hike over the Kibo saddle, which lies between the two volcanoes Mawenzi and the towering Kibo. As you cross the alpine desert of the saddle, the landscape opens up wonderful panoramic views and you have Kibo in front of you all day long. Finally, you can also see the path winding to the summit on the flanks of the mountain. Shortly before today's destination, there is another steep climb up rocky passages. The camp for the coming night - the School Hut - is located between large boulders. During the day you should try to eat as much as possible in preparation for the summit day, which starts very early the following day. The rest of the day is spent resting in preparation for the final climb. Walking time: 4-5 hours

6. Tag: School Hut – Uhuru Peak (5895 m) – Horombo Camp (3720 m)

Shortly after midnight, you start the climb up steep scree serpentines to Gilman's Point on the crater rim (5681 m) in order to reach it just before sunrise. It is now not far to Uhuru Peak and an iron will is required to conquer the last few meters of altitude. You will be rewarded at Uhuru Peak with a fantastic panoramic view and the wonderful feeling of having reached the highest point in Africa. Congratulations! The descent from Kibo is surprisingly quick and after a lunch break in the Kibo Hut, you continue down to Horombo Camp. Walking time: 12-14 hours

Day 7: Horombo Camp – Marangu Gate (1840 m) – Moshi Descent to the Mandara Hut and then further down through the rainforest to the national park gate in Marangu. At the gate, say goodbye to your escort team. Transfer to the hotel in Moshi. Here you can recover from the exertions of the last few days and reflect on the Kilimanjaro adventure. Walking time: 5-6 hours Overnight: Hotel

Day 8: MoshiTransfer to Kilimanjaro Airport or individual extension. End of service!
